This is by far the most important question as it will have a huge impact on your child’s enjoyment of riding their new bike. You can get a rough idea of sizing based on your child’s age. Unfortunately what fits one 6 year old might not fit another. That’s why we recommend sizing based on inner leg length. This method means they’ll always be able to reach the floor properly and have the perfect experience.

Balance Bikes – Perfect for kids up to the age of 4 as a starter bike. They strip everything back to basics and let your child learn the tough skill of balancing before adding anything else into the mix. The Strider 12 Sport is a great option with hard-wearing plastic wheels.

First Pedals – Ideal for children aged 3-6 who are just learning to ride. They don’t have gears to complicate the riding experience. The Forme Cubley range are one of the lightest on the market, are designed in the UK and are rigourously kid-tested.

Hybrid Bikes – Brilliant for parks, trails and tarmac. They are the ideal option for most children over 5 years old. Frog is one of the best known kid’s brands for a reason, designed specifically with kids in mind and ridden by royalty, you’ll love them.
